Two asylum seekers who spent the past three days on the roof of Australia's Christmas Island detention centre have given up their protest.A small group of asylum seekers climbed onto the roof on Friday after Federal Police were forced to break up a violent outbreak inside the centre.
The Immigration Department said all of the people involved in the protest came down from the roof after repeated efforts by Immigration staff to coax them down.
They will undergo health checks.
