Back in May, tokyohive reported that HANGRY & ANGRY-f, a unit which consists of Dream Morning Musume’s Ishikawa Rika and Yoshizawa Hitomi, would be making an appearance at French anime convention, “Japan Expo”.
On July 1st, HANGRY & ANGRY-f had a collaboration event with h.NAOTO, a fashion designer, at the main stage of this convention. The group performed their upcoming new single, “Reconquista” in front an audience of 3,000 people.
At this event, h.NAOTO held his fashion show which featured Gothic Lolita influenced clothes. When the models for his show ended their walks, the two girls of HANGRY & ANGRY-f showed up on the stage with stark-white outfits and the fans screamed out with excitement from their entrance.
As a long-awaited single of 1 1/2 years, the group performed a deep and powerful performance of “Reconquista”. After their third performance with, “Mr. Monkey”, HANGRY (Yoshizawa) told everyone, “Hey, it’s ok to come closer [to the stage], you know?” Following the request, the audience gathered closer to the stage. From this, she changed the environment of the venue from a fashion show to a live stage concert.
After this, they performed “Kill Me Kiss Me” from their first mini single and “Top Secret” and “Sadistic Dance” from their second mini album. Furthermore, they rearranged their song from Morning Musume, “The Peace!” to “The Peace (h&A Death Tracks)” to fit their image as a band and continued their performance.
This is the 12th “Japan Expo” ever held and it has been open from June 30th and will end on July 3rd. It is expected that they will have 190,000 people attend this event unlike last year’s 170,000 participants. Other artists that performed at this event are X-JAPAN, Kyuton, MEG, and PASSPO.
