Fenerbahce's triumph marks Yobo's first league title in club football Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo scored the winner as Fenerbache emerged league champions on Sunday in Turkey.
The defender powered home a header from an Emre cross in the 67th minute before defending bravely to earn a pulsating 4-3 win at Sivasspor.
It was the defender's first league title in club football and he was delighted with his achievement.
"This means a lot to me, my family and the club," Yobo told BBC Sport.
"I have scored some important goals at club and national team level, but this one was extremely special.
"The cross came from the left and I only had one thing in mind - power it [the header] beyond the goalkeeper.
"I will never forget this day and thank my teammates for fighting until the end on the pitch."
Yobo only joined Fenerbache on a season-long loan last summer from English Premier League side Everton.
And after a bruilliant and assured performance at the heart of defence, the Super Eagle's decision to swap league and country has finally yielded a title.
Yobo celebrated alongside Senegalese duo Mamadou Niang and Issiar Dia, who also arrived at the club last summer.
"We all joined at the same time and to win the title in our first season here is amazing," Yobo said."The team is packed with unbelievable professionals and technical crew with dedicated passion."
Yobo, who has played in Belgium, France and England also praise rivals Trabzonspor, who were only edged out on the head-to-head rule after finishing on same numbner of points.
"That's competition and it brings out the best in both clubs," he said.
"The country, fans and media followed it all throughout and you could never write the dramatic end to the season.
"It's been a campaign to remember."
His attention now shifts to the national team as Nigeria prepare for a double-header against Argentina and Ethiopia.
As the Super Eagles captain, he was also quick to play down the media furore surrounding the team.
"We have two big games and Nigerians expect the best from us all the time," he said.
"Argentina is a friendly game but in Nigeria every game is a cup final and you've got to play your best all the time.
"The Ethiopians will be a tough nut away in the Nations Cup qualifier and we have to brace for that.
"We need not talk or react to distracting stories, but instead pull ourselves together and fight as a unit."
